About the Candis Debt Helpline

Candis Club is delighted to offer a debt management helpline service to all members.

Whatever your situation, if you feel that your debts may be spiralling out of control or you would just like some confidential advice call the helpline number and a qualified, independent adviser will be happy to help.

Many people fall into debt at some point in their lives. Sometimes all it takes is a small change in circumstances to tip the balance and turn a manageable situation into a debt problem.

At Candis we are used to helping members who are struggling to cope with the stress and worry of life's challenges. Through our partners at The UK Insolvency Helpline we can provide you with non-judgemental and confidential advice to help clear your debts.

Whether it's £1,000 or £100,000, debt is always about your ability to repay. You may think that there is another way out, but it's unlikely you'll find one without making a full disclosure of your financial situation to someone who can help.

Get it out in the open early and you'll probably find it's perfectly manageable. But delay at your peril. Being in debt can start with where you should be tightening your belt and continues down an incline ranging from re-mortgaging to Debt Management Plans and Individual Voluntary Arrangements to bankruptcy. People in debt often have simply left it too late.

With The Candis Debt Helpline you get:

  1. Advice on dealing with multiple debts
  2. An assigned case officer to call for advice throughout the repayment programme
  3. Supported self-help if you prefer

This Candis Club benefit is operated by The UK Insolvency Helpline. The service is funded by firms within the credit and Insolvency industry.

According to The UK Insolvency Helpline, 75 per cent of the people who call them are able to better manage their debt through simple budgeting. This form of 'income optimisation' focuses on trimming the excess expenditure from your monthly budget in a way that doesn't leave you gasping for breath. After detailing a precise monthly budget planner, an advisor will focus on helping make the necessary savings to reduce the amount of disposable income spent on servicing debts.

In our experience most people's debt problems are caused by circumstances beyond their control and usually through no fault of their own. Breakdown in relationships, an unexpected cut in pay or a series of unforeseen expenses can create financial turmoil. The consequences of being in debt may be far reaching, causing added pressures, which will have long term effects on your health, career and family.

Whatever the problem, nothing is too large or too small, we can assist with practical advice and information, negotiating with creditors, budgeting, court action as well as all matters relating to insolvency and bankruptcy.
